Drug possession

Police respond to overdose: A couple was charged with possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and endangering children after police and fire were called at 1:39 a.m. Sept. 27 to a mobile home in the 9000 block of North Bedford Road for a drug overdose. The woman was lying on the floor trying to breathe when crews arrived, the police report said. Macedonia Rescue gave the woman four doses of Narcan to revive her. She came to and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg.

When asked what she may have taken, the man showed police a lottery ticket with brown specks on it that he said he got from a guy in Garfield Heights. The man said he had also taken some of the substance on the ticket. He was sweating heavily and acting erratically. When asked what the substance was, he said it "could have been cocaine but [he] did not know exactly." After getting permission to search the home, officers found a marijuana pipe, a clear container with 2.3 grams of marijuana and a black grinder.

Police advised the man he should be transported by Macedonia Rescue. A neighbor who said he’s known the family for several years agreed to watch the couple’s 10-year-old child while they were gone.
