Three juvenile suspects have been arrested after Tallmadge Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress on Thursday.

Tallmadge Police reported news of the arrests on their Facebook page on Friday. According to the post, on Thursday at 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Nottingham Street for a reported burglary in progress. A neighbor who observed three males park and go behind a house then went to talk with them and saw they were removing items from the home, police said.

The suspects fled in a stolen vehicle, which was located a short time later by Akron Police on Herkender Avenue in Akron. Akron and Tallmadge officers located the three suspects at a residence in the 1300 block of nearby Betana Avenue in Akron. They were taken into custody and a search warrant was served at the location with the assistance of the U.S. Marshall’s Violent Fugitive Task Force. Numerous items stolen from Nottingham were recovered; a handgun and suspected drugs were also found, according to police.

All three suspects are juveniles and are incarcerated in the Summit County Juvenile Detention facility.
