About 90 Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scout parents, and friends of the One Fund got together Aug. 7 to stuff this year’s pledge cards at the Aurora United Methodist Church. The group completed the task in 90 minutes, which is a new record.

The One Fund drive will start this week. Pledge cards will be mailed Aug. 14 and should arrive on Aug. 15.

The goal this year is $67,000.

The One Fund, Aurora’s local community fund, is managed by a group of dedicated public-spirited citizens who are all volunteers. There are no paid executives in this organization. The One Fund has less than a 4 percent administration cost that covers filing fees, postage and printing costs.
