Stow’s annual Fourth of July parade and Firecracker Run will prompt road closures Wednesday morning.

The Stow Firecracker Run begins at 7:30 a.m. from Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Road, and travels east on Kent Road to the Target Plaza, 4200 Kent Road, and then back to the church. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the Stow-Kent Shopping Center, 4301 Kent Road, and travels west on Kent Road to Holy Family Church. Due to these events, Kent Road will be closed from Marsh Road to Englewood Drive from about 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from about 9:30 a.m. to noon. Darrow Road will be closed from Graham Road to Pinehurst Road in Munroe Falls from about 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and then from about 9:30 a.m. to noon. The only through traffic permitted during the restricted periods will be for emergency vehicles only, city officials say, and they emphasize that only vehicles that are in the parade and have the appropriate permit will be allowed into the Stow-Kent Shopping Center.
