AURORA - Teachers will see salary increases for the next four years, under a contract approved Monday by the Board of Education.
Under the agreement, teachers will receive a 2 percent increase next year, followed by 1.5 percent increases the remaining three years of the contract, which ends in the 2020-21 school year. Teachers will also receive supplemental salary payments of 1 percent next year, and 1.5 percent the remaining three years.
Teachers under single health insurance plans will see their premiums increase by increments from the current 5 percent of the cost of their insurance, to 10 percent by the last year of the contract. Teachers will family coverage will continue to pay 15 percent of their premiums.
