Speeding vehicle reported: Police responded to the area around Munroe Falls Avenue and Route 91 after receiving a report of a speeding vehicle at about 8:30 p.m. June 9. Police said they were unable to find the vehicle.
Marijuana found in vehicle: A Stow man, 22, was cited with marijuana possession and expired plates after police stopped his vehicle for the plate violation on North River Road at Charring Cross Drive at about 11:20 p.m. June 7 and found a small amount of suspected marijuana in his vehicle during a probable cause search, police said.

Woman charged after traffic stop: A Stow woman, 45, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and weaving after police stopped her vehicle on North Main Street at about 10:40 p.m. June 6. The woman was given a Munroe Falls Mayor's Court date and released on a bond.

Man found on Route 8: A Meadowbrook Boulevard man, 28, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and pedestrians on highway after police said they found him walking north on Route 8 southbound near Steels Corners Road at about 9 p.m. June 1. Police said the man was taken to the Stow Police Department until it was safe to release him on his own. He was then summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court.
Wallet stolen at store: A Kent woman reported someone stole her wallet after she set it down on a counter at a store in Fishcreek Road's 3700 block May 30. The woman said that when she returned to the store later, the wallet was gone. The woman said the wallet contained $100, a bank card, a driver's license and a Social Security card. No fraudulent transactions were reported to the bank card.
Vehicle reported stolen: A 22-year-old Ashland County man was charged with fourth-degree felony theft of a motor vehicle after police saw his vehicle on Steels Corners Road near Route 8 and followed it into a Bridgewater Parkway parking lot at about 4 a.m. May 23.
The man was also charged with misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over the legal limit, driving under possession and marijuana possession.
Police said they stopped the vehicle the man was driving because Wadsworth police reported it had been driven away after hitting another vehicle and some utility poles and Stow police said the vehicle had heavy front-end damage, with parts of the front end on its back seat. Police said they subsequently learned that the vehicle belonged to a Bridgewater man that the Ashland man was staying with and that the Bridgewater man had not given permission for the Ashland man to use the vehicle. Police said the man did poorly on the field sobriety tests and his BAC measured at 0.114 percent, higher than the 0.08-percent legal limit. He was taken to Summit County Jail.
Misuse of a credit card
Fraudulent charges reported: An employee of a Darrow Road company reported May 22 that someone charged purchases totaling nearly $2,000 to a company credit card account at a store in the Los Angeles area in April. The employee said a former company employee was a suspect. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Office was investigating, but requested that the company file a local police report, the employee said.
