TALLMADGE — Police are investigating a June 1 armed robbery at the Goodwill store at 15 Midway Plaza, Police Chief Ron Williams said Wednesday.

Williams said the robbery occurred at about 9:30 p.m., with an undetermined amount of money taken.

"Basically, it was after closing," said Williams. "The manager was in a back room, an office, counting the money for the day. It appears two people entered the store, but only one of them entered the office, brandished a gun and demanded the money. The manager turned it over."

Police said three employees were in the store at the time, but it is unknown how the suspects entered the store. No injuries were reported.

A police K-9 searched the area, but was unable to find the suspects.

The suspect with the gun is described as a black male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a "Friday the 13th" type hockey mask and a black hooded sweatshirt. Police do not have a description of the second suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tallmadge Police Department detective bureau at 330-633-4231.
