Katherine Renee Kleinert and Michael David Jones were united in marriage on Oct. 1, 2017, at Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula. The afternoon ceremony was officiated by the Rev. David R. Nevergall, with the reception immediately following.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and Leslie Kleinert of Hudson. The bridegroom is the son of Scott and Gail Jones of Chardon.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory crepe fit to flair mermaid gown. It featured a halter neckline highlighted by a plunging keyhole detail, with a low illusion back and full tulle skirt with a chapel train. She carried a loose garden inspired bouquet of white roses, lisianthus, anemones, hydrangeas, blue thistle, brunina berries and succulents.

Lauren John of Hudson, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Carolyn Hewitt of Munroe Falls, Elizabeth Kordel of Columbus, both sisters of the bride, and Stephanie Russell of Pittsburg, best friend of the bride. The bridesmaids wore floor length tulle gowns in various hues of blue and green.

Jon Claxton, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Nicholas Claxton served as groomsman and Graham Jones, son of the bride and groom, accompanied his father to the wedding arbor. A special reading was given by Heidi Claxton, sister of the groom.

The bride and bridegroom are both graduates of Hudson High School, she in 1999 and he in 1997. The bride is employed by The Chiropractic Place in Hudson as an Office Manager and the bridegroom by Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls as Kitchen Manager and Head Chef for their outdoor venue, The Jetty.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, and reside in Hudson.
