The Friends of the Library are hosting a book sale June 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the first sale since the shop has been redecorated and reorganized.
The shop now shines with new paint and carpeting, and the furniture has been moved around for easier access.
Jean Javidi and Gabe Eye have joined the board as co-chairs of book sales. Javidi has been in Twinsburg for more than 25 years but only joined the Friends after her retirement a year and a half ago. She is assisted by Gabe Eye who has been in the Friends for 11 years and has worked with the book sale since 2003. They are replacing Sylvia Bartlett who has worked with the book sales since it opened in 2007.
Instead of the early bird sales, members will receive a 20 percent discount on books, puzzles and merchandise that is not on consignment during sale hours. Memberships can be purchased June 9 for a discount. Every hour there will be pop up sale where items in a specific category will be discounted. It may be mysteries, puzzles, toys or treasures.
Donations are welcome and a tax deduction form can be picked up at the sales desk. All proceeds go toward supporting library programs, including the staff scholarship.
