CUYAHOGA FALLS — A Roberts Middle School teacher has returned to work, and no charges were filed, after he was placed on paid leave pending an investigation.
"There are no charges that will be filed," confirmed Lt. Gary Merton of the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department.
Ellen McClure, director of human resources for the school district, confirmed the teacher was cleared and returned to the classroom Monday.
Merton said the teacher was being investigated for sexual imposition, which had been reported to police April 8. The teacher was placed on leave April 9, according to information from the school district.
The teacher’s personnel file contains no previous disciplinary actions. His reviews for the 2015-16 school year were all "skilled" and higher, and comments in previous reviews, which also were positive, included "always involved," "upbeat" and "really knows his subject."
