STOW — City planners have given their support to the proposed construction of an industrial building at the northeast corner of of McCauley and Allen roads where polymers for the construction industry would be produced.

Stow City Council is slated to consider the proposal at its May 24 meeting.

Addressing the Planning Commission on May 8, Puneet Singh of P3 Infrastructure said his company manufactures coatings and adhesives that are used on roads and bridges. Singh said he started his business about five years ago in Twinsburg "and now we’ve grown to a size where we need more space." Singh said he plans to relocate the company from the Twinsburg site.

Stow Planning Director Rob Kurtz reported a 28-foot-high building about 20,000 square feet in area is being eyed, with a future expansion of 20,000 square feet envisioned. The 4 acres in question are zoned I-2 Industrial. Kurtz said an existing structure and garage on the property would be demolished.

P3 Infrastructure currently employs five people. Within the next five years, Singh said, he anticipates adding "at least another five" employees. He reported none of the chemicals that would be used at the industrial building are categorized as being flammable.
