A 28-year-old Akron man was arrested March 13 and charged with criminal trespass, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, after being warned multiple times by both police officers and Super 8 staff not to return to hotel property at 4380 Edson Road. "Within one hour he returned to the property," according to Brimfield police.
A 29-year-old Gotham Road man was arrested March 12 at his residence and charged with criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor, and domestic violence, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, after allegedly damaging a female family member's laptop computer and threatening her with physical harm, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
A 35-year-old Shalersville man was arrested March 13 and charged with aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment, both first-degree misdemeanors, after allegedly sending threatening text messages to several alleged victims saying: "You'll get yours or end up burried [sic] somewhere;" "I seriously should dispose of u and (victim);" and "I promise u she will get," according to Hiram police.
Eric E. Cboins, 47, of 4707 Fishcreek Road, Stow, was arrested March 13 on warrants charging him with four counts of violating a protection order, all fifth-degree felonies. The alleged incidents occurred on Feb. 22, March 3, March 7, and March 8 in the 1100 block of Elno Avenue. The alleged victim is protected from Cboins as part of a Jan. 16 order of the Portage County Common Pleas Court, according to Kent police.
Bianca M. Martin, 27, of Akron, was arrested March 13 on warrants charging her with five counts of forgery, all fifth-degree felonies. On Jan. 24, Martin allegedly tried to pass two fraudulent checks totaling $1,779.30 at the Giant Eagle store, 909 E. Main St. She also was wanted by deputies for allegedly trying to pass a fake $889.59 check at the Giant Eagle store at 4260 Route 44 in Rootstown on Jan. 16, and a fake $889.73 check at the same store on Jan. 24, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office. In addition, on Jan. 25, Martin allegedly tried to pass a fake check, again for $889.59, at the Giant Eagle store at 1280 Route 303 in Streetsboro, according to Streetsboro police.
Cheyanna D. Boggs, 21, with a last known address in Freedom, was arrested March 14 on a warrant charging her with theft, a fifth-degree felony. On Dec. 4, 2017, Boggs allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Kent/Ravenna Walmart, 2600 Route 59, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
An officer arrested 59-year-old Timothy E. Bell, of 9448 Tower Drive, on March 13 and charged him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. On Feb. 3, Bell rented a 2016 Toyota Corolla that he was due to return on Feb. 16. When he allegedly failed to return it on time, he was sent a letter and a phone call was made asking him to return the vehicle. As of March 6, it had not been returned, according to Streetsboro police.
William R. Hunt IV, 26, of 2124 Randolph Road, was arrested March 13 in the area of Randolph Road and Route 43 and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Hunt allegedly possessed methamphetamine, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
