The Twinsburg Police Department encourages anyone planning to support the students of Twinsburg High School at Wednesday morning’s National School Walkout to park in the City Hall side of the municipal lot and gather in front of City Hall.

The local activity is part of the national movement set to honor the memories of the 17 shooting victims in Parkland, Fla., and address gun violence in general.

According to the department’s Facebook page, the students want this to be their event and the administration would like to keep it from being disruptive to students who are participating and those not participating who are still in class.

There will be a police presence to keep the peace and ensure the safety of the public. The school has a policy against allowing the media on school property and this will be enforced.

Media are welcome to park in the City Hall side of the municipal lot.
