STOW — Whether Wendy's is going to rebuild at 1051 Graham Road where its restaurant was destroyed by fire in January is not known, even by the owner of the property.

Sumner Stillwell of Stillwell Properties Inc. which was leasing the property to Wendy’s said he has not heard what Wendy's plans are.

"I have no idea," Stillwell said. "I wish I did know. I don't know if they're going to rebuild, or what. Who knows?" Stillwell, who lives in Florida, said he was informed by phone the restaurant was destroyed by fire on Jan. 9.

"They just told me there was a fire there and that's the last I heard about it," he said.

Wendy's corporate owners did not respond to an email or phone call at press time.

The cause was ruled undetermined by the city's fire inspector on Feb. 1. Only in the last couple weeks, the burned out building was razed and cleared away.

The Graham Road Wendy's was one of three in Stow. The other two are on Kent Road near Kent and Darrow Road near Hudson.

According to online tax records, the restaurant was built in 1984.
