The Twinsburg Historical Society and Twinsburg VFW Post 4929 will present U.S. Army Col. Reed Kimball (ret.), a volunteer at the Military Air Preservation Society in North Canton, Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m., at the VFW Museum on Ravenna Road. The presentation is part of the regular Sunday open house for the society. The museum opens at 2 p.m., and will remain open until 5 p.m. after the presentation concludes.

Kimball joined MAPS after retiring from the army, teaching high school math and physics, serving as a high school principal in Michigan and finally serving as the campus director of National College in Cleveland. He is now director of education at MAPS. He has many stories to tell and will be available for questions.

The Twinsburg Historical Society is also planning a weekend-long gala event to honor the society’s building the last weekend in June. Memorabilia for will be for sale at the event. Members will be invited to be early birds. More details will follow. Alumni are urged to share their memories on video or in print. The society is searching for old photos to scan and any other memorabilia to loan or donate.

The society is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Twinsburg, the only Twinsburg in the world. The next open house will be March 25 on the Gorge Dam. Visit for more information.
