Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 55 Atterbury Boulevard in Hudson, recently called the Rev. Lawrence McElrath to serve as its first curate (assistant priest). The role of a curate in the Anglican Church is to assist the rector with the ministry of the church and to focus, in particular, on the needs of young people (children, teens, and young adults).

Lawrence comes to Hudson from Nashota House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin where he earned a master of divinity degree this past summer. Lawrence is also a chaplain first lieutenant in the Army Reserves and just recently graduated from Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Lawrence is a native of Northeast Ohio, graduating from Woodridge High School. His wife, Megan, comes from nearby Canton.
