A winter storm warning was canceled by the National Weather Service just before 6 a.m. today.

Several inches of snow fell on top of a icy mix and another 2-4 inches could fall during the day Saturday.

There are only a few small reported power outages in the immediate area, according to First Energy.


Snow showers, mainly between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. High near 16. Wind chill values as low as zero. North wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.  


The Hudson Community Education and Recreation announced its Kiwanis basketball games scheduled for today have been either canceled or postponed. The first and second grade games have been canceled. The games for third through eighth grade will start at 10 a.m., and all scheduled games will start two hours later. High school games will start at 10 a.m.




Sagamore Hills and Northfield Center starting at 6 p.m. through 11:59 pm. Sunday

Tallmadge starting at noon Friday through 7 p.m. Sunday

Munroe Falls starting when snow reaches 2 inches

Reminderville starting when snow reaches 2 inches

Mogadore starting at 4 p.m. today through 8 a.m. Sunday

Cuyahoga Falls issued a citywide parking ban from 5 pm today to 5 pm Saturday. Cars parked on city streets can be ticketed and towed.
