Hudson artist Richard Vaux will host an opening reception for his art exhibition, "Lightscapes," Feb. 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hudson Fine Art and Framing Co. The show itself will run from Feb. 2 through Feb. 28. Vaux recently relocated his studio back to Northeast Ohio from Long Island, N.Y., where he worked for the past 50 years painting and serving as professor of painting and drawing at Adelphi University.
His paintings and exhibitions have been shown across the world, from the United States to Canada, and South America to the Far East.
"My paintings and mixed media works are nature-inspired abstractions," Vaux says. "Searching for the harmonies and balances in nature, the works parallel natural phenomena. Each composition is a visual poem about light and illumination ... the visible and the invisible."
