Hudson High School’s Vocal Impact show choir invites the community to its first-ever show choir invitational Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
Vocal Impact, led by HHS choir director Jacob Moore, will perform that evening at Hudson High School, 2500 Hudson Aurora Road, along with other show choirs from Aurora, Brecksville-Broadview Heights and Nordonia. Moore said Hudson’s middle school show choir members will join the high school performers at the invitational and perform one song.
"The goal is to show off the talent in this area of the state and to inspire others to join music in some sort of fashion," said Moore. "This night is going to be a fun one that will serve as a fundamental fundraiser for the HHS choral program."
Tickets will be sold only at the door for $5. Vocal Impact combines singing and dancing. Students audition to become a part of Vocal Impact, and Moore has renamed the group (formerly called "show choir") to emphasize the vocal talent of the group. He is also the driving force behind the January high school show choir invitational.
