Game played in vehicle: Police said that after they stopped to investigate a vehicle in the Brust Park parking lot at about midnight Jan. 8, they discovered that people in the vehicle were playing a card game. Police said they told the vehicle occupants that the park was closed and they would have to leave.
Sounds heard in yard: A man reported hearing noises in his back yard in Hunter Avenue’s 300 block at about 4 a.m. Jan. 7. Police said they did not see anything suspicious in the yard, but did see what appeared to be fresh animal tracks in the snow.
Person seen with saw: A man reported that a camera outside his home showed someone had been in his front yard holding what appeared to be a hand saw in Charring Cross Drive’s 300 block at about 3:45 a.m. Jan. 3. Police said nothing appeared to be missing and no property damage was reported.
Vehicle in parking lot: Police responded to a report of a vehicle that had been left in the parking lot of a business in North Main Street’s 400 block Dec. 28. Police said they contacted the vehicle’s owner, a Cuyahoga Falls man, who said the vehicle was disabled and he would have it removed.
Money stolen from bank account: A Prentiss Street man reported Jan. 3 that someone had withdrawn a total of $3,000 in two transactions from his savings account during the previous eight days.
Woman wanted by court: Akron police reported Jan. 3 that they had in custody an Akron woman, 46, wanted by Stow Municipal Court for failing to appear in court on a first-degree misdemeanor telecommunications harassment charge filed by Munroe Falls police. Police said the woman was taken to the court.
Residents reported missing: Police responded to Munroe Falls Avenue’s 200 block Jan. 2 after an anonymous person reported that residents in an apartment had not been seen in two weeks and packages were accumulating outside their apartment. Police said they were able to contact the residents, who were fine, and discovered the packages were actually boxes of trash.
Man found on Oakhurst: An Atwater man, 21, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor solicitation after police responded to a report that the man was soliciting for a utility company without first registering with the city in the early evening Dec. 29. The man was summoned to appear in Munroe Falls Mayor’s Court and released.

Driving unsafe vehicles
Girl was sitting on floorboard: An 18-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was charged with misdemeanor charges of driving an unsafe vehicle, driving under suspension, drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession after police stopped his vehicle on Steels Corners Road at Route 8 at about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 4.
Police said the vehicle lacked a front passenger seat and a passenger, a 17-year-old Munroe Falls girl, was sitting on the floorboard without a seatbelt. Police also said they found a small amount of suspected marijuana, a scale and rolling papers in the vehicle. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.
The girl was charged with violating curfew. She was referred to Stow Youth Services in lieu of filing the charge in Summit County Juvenile Court and released to her mother.
Man allegedly intoxicated in vehicle: A Garfield Heights man, 21, was charged with physical control and marijuana possession after police found him allegedly intoxicated while sitting behind the wheel of a parked vehicle in Willowdale Drive’s 1900 block at about 3 a.m. Jan. 1.
Man cited at service station: A Munroe Falls man, 33, was cited with minor misdemeanor public intoxication while he was at a service station at the Kent and Darrow roads intersection at about 1 a.m. Dec. 30.
