To celebrate the season, the Hudson Garden Club will host a holiday social and an amaryllis planting for the Dec. 14 general meeting in the community room at Laurel Lake. The night will include, for those who pre-ordered amaryllis bulbs, the supplies needed to force the holiday flower. A limited amount of bulbs will be available for purchase that evening. Contact Barb Earnhardt for questions about the amaryllis bulbs at email@example.com. Information will be provided for anyone with questions on how to force bulbs over the winter.
For those coming to socialize, put on a holiday sweater and join the crowd for holiday music, seasonal punch, and other assorted goodies. It will be a great opportunity to get to know members and other local gardeners, and share stories.
The meeting will be at Laurel Lake (200 Laurel Lake Drive) with the planting and social starting at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in attending the program is welcome. Call Bronwyn Pierson at 330-612-4879 with questions. As a reminder, the HGC follows the Hudson School District’s severe weather cancelation for general meetings.
