The November open house of the Twinsburg Historical Society is early this year because of Thanksgiving, and will feature members of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. The museum will be open Nov. 19 from 2 to 5 p.m., so bring those favorite timepieces and meet the collectors, who will share their knowledge and offer appraisals.
Twinsburg Historical Society Trustee Jon Howard organized this road show in conjunction with the Lake Erie Chapter 28 of NAWCC. The group is committed to furthering the study of horology, the science of measuring time, and the art of constructing devices to measure time. The website is www.NAWCC28.org.
Members new and old can join and assist the society with its work. Membership has its privileges and there are volunteer opportunities. The society is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information visit www.twinsburghistoricalsociety.org or call 330-487-5565.
