Whitney Jean Ridgway and Nicholas Adam Cartwright were united in marriage on April 8, 2017, in Columbus, Ohio. The ceremony was officiated by Paul G. Winter, childhood friend of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Jon and Julie Ridgway of Hudson and the granddaughter of Charles Ridgway of Morgantown, W.Va., the late Sally Jo Ridgway and the late Chuck and Jean Kisner. The groom is the son of Jim and Patsy Cartwright of Rockbridge and the grandson of Darrell and Frances Antle of Athens and Ada Cartwright of Athens and the late Wilbur Cartwright.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown with soft tulle skirt and lace bodice finished with pearls and crystals at the waist. The bride’s veil was of hand made vintage Brussels lace, similar to one worn by her mother. The bride’s bouquet was of peonies, roses and ranunculus in whites and pinks with eucalyptus.

Emily Ridgway of Columbus, sister of the bride; and Annie Svec of Cleveland Heights, friend of the bride, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Kwiek of Worthington, sister of the groom; and Ashley Dearth of Canal Winchester, friend of the bride. Ada Kwiek, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.

Andrew Nixon of Logan, childhood friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jesse Kwiek, of Worthington, brother-in-law of the groom; and Christopher Rollins of Lancaster and Kevin Daniels of Columbus, both friends of the groom. Oscar Kwiek, nephew of the groom, served as a ring bearer.

Tori and Alex Stockinger of Hudson, friends of the bride’s family, gave guests their programs and attended the guestbook.

The ceremony and reception were both conducted at High Line Car House in German Village, Columbus. After cocktails on the patio, the bride’s father welcomed guests to dinner and the groom’s grandfather, Darrell Antle, gave the blessing. Dinner was served and tables were decorated with white flowers in blue and white chinoiserie and delft vases. Dancing followed into the evening.

Pre-wedding celebrations include a couple’s shower given by Carolyn and Ed Haber, family friends and Les and Larry Janus, aunt and uncle of the bride. A tea was given by family friend Susie Weisshaar and the bride’s friends and coworkers gave her a shower in Columbus. Jim and Patsy Cartwright, parents of the groom hosted a beautiful rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding.

The bride is a graduate of Hudson High School and received a bachelor in education from University of Akron. The bride is employed as an intervention specialist with Canal Winchester school district and is currently in a masters program at the University of Dayton. The groom is a graduate of Logan High School, received his bachelors in telecommunications from Ohio University and is employed at XPO Logistics in Columbus. He is seeking an MBA from of the University of Southern New Hampshire.

Following a wedding trip to Calgary and Banff, Canada, the couple reside in Dublin, Ohio.
