HUDSON — A charity fundraiser, open to the public, is being organized by Howard Hanna in Hudson in conjunction with company-wide efforts to raise money to benefit The Children’s Free Care Fund. Howard Hanna has assisted with the annual fundraising efforts for 29 years.
"Breakfast with Santa," which has become a Hudson tradition for many, is scheduled for Dec. 9 at Lager & Vine, 30 W. Streetsboro Street. The event will feature breakfast provided by Lager & Vine, various raffles and an appearance by Santa. Tickets are $16 or $10 for those 10 years of age and younger. There will be two breakfast times available, at 8:30 and 10 a.m. Seats will be limited at each sitting and tickets will be sold in advance only.
In addition, a photography company will be on hand to capture those special moments and attendees will receive a free 5x7 photo taken with Santa. Additional photos may be purchased, with proceeds also contributing to the overall fundraising effort.
"Continuing our fundraising efforts with this fun-filled event is very exciting," Dianna Palmeri, committee member. "We are hopeful to repeat the success it has had the past several years and anticipate raising a significant amount of money for The Children’s Free Care Fund. Howard Hanna Hudson owes much of that success to the support of our community. We are incredibly grateful to Lager & Vine for hosting our event again this year ... Without the generosity of local merchants and businesses, this event would not be possible. It should be a great way for people to get into the holiday spirit, while supporting our local children’s hospitals."

The mission of the CFCF is to help ensure that children in the region receive the best possible medical care. Howard Hanna partners with 14 children’s hospitals in their various markets in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan, Virginia, and New York. The 2016 campaign allowed Howard Hanna to present checks totaling more than $1 million to local hospitals. Over the past 28 years, in excess of $14 million has been donated to the cause.
"Children’s hospitals cannot do what they do without the support of the local community," said Howard Hanna’s CEO, Howard W. "Hoddy" Hanna, III. "Your support helps improve the health and well-being of the area children who are faced with disability, disease or chronic conditions. More than ever, children need all of our help."
