MUNROE FALLS — In a race involving only three write-in candidates, Allen P. Mavrides was elected to the Ward 3 City Council post to replace outgoing Council President Steve Stahl.

Mavrides received 114 votes, while Ronald A. Meyer garnered 24 and Samuel S. Busic tallied 15, according to final, but unofficial results from the Summit County Board of Elections.

The seat carries a four-year term that begins on Jan. 1, 2018.

Stahl announced in August that he would not seek re-election.

Election results are scheduled to be certified by the Board of Elections on Nov. 28.
