Man and woman charged: A Shannon Avenue man, 29, and woman, 26, were charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault after a Cuyahoga Falls man reported the man and woman assaulted him during an altercation outside a State Road bar at about 2 a.m. Nov. 5.
The Cuyahoga Falls man said he was walking nearby when he saw a confrontation involving several people, tried to intervene and was immediately knocked to the ground, where he said he was struck in the head and face. A Cuyahoga Falls police officer on patrol stopped to investigate when he saw people standing over the man lying on the ground. Police said some of the people ran, but the Shannon man and woman remained. Police said they had blood on their knuckles indicating that they were the ones who allegedly assaulted the man. They were taken to Cuyahoga Falls City Jail.
The Cuyahoga Falls man was taken to Western Reserve Hospital for treatment of bruises and abrasions to his head and face and for a possible concussion.
Vehicle window broken: A Falls Avenue woman reported someone smashed her vehicle's rear window, causing about $250 in damage, while the vehicle was parked outside her home in the evening Nov. 5.
Brick breaks bedroom window: A Prange Drive woman reported someone shattered her bedroom window by throwing a brick at it about 3:45 a.m. Nov. 5. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Vehicle spray painted: A Ruth Avenue man reported Nov. 1 that someone sprayed paint, causing an estimated $800 in damages, onto his vehicle while it was parked outside a Front Street restaurant during the night.
Paint sprayed on business: The owner of a 2nd Street business reported someone sprayed paint on the side of his business between 12:15 and 12:45 a.m. Nov. 1. Police said a damage estimate was unknown.
Business window broken: The owner of a State Road business reported someone broke one of the business' windows, causing about $400 in damages, late in the evening Oct. 30. The owner said nothing appeared to be missing inside the business.
Vehicle window smashed: A State Road man reported Oct. 30 that someone smashed one of his vehicle's side windows while it was parked outside his home during the night. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Phone stolen at Natatorium: An Akron woman reported someone stole her 15-year-old granddaughter's $620 phone while they were at the city's Natatorium in the early afternoon Nov. 4.
Packages stolen from porch: A Graham Road man reported discovering Nov. 4 that someone took a package containing computer equipment valued at about $150 after it was delivered to his front porch two days earlier.
The man previously reported someone took another package after it was delivered to his front porch on Oct. 26. A police report did not identify the contents or value of that package.
Sunglasses stolen from vehicle: A Hampton Heights Drive man reported Nov. 3 that someone took several pairs of sunglasses and other items totaling about $580 in value from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked outside his home during the night.
Power cards and change stolen: A Tifft Street man reported Nov. 1 that someone took three power cards and some change totaling about $50 in value from his vehicle while it was parked outside his home during the night. A police report did not say whether the vehicle was locked.
Money stolen from vehicle: A Hudson Drive man reported Oct. 31 that someone took about $7 and some change from his unlocked vehicle while it was outside his home during the night.
Change stolen from vehicles: A Lynn Drive man reported Oct. 31 that someone entered two unlocked vehicles while they were parked outside his home during the night and took about $8 in change.
Car stolen: An Arizona man reported someone stole his unlocked car, valued at about $5,000, while it was parked outside a Riverview Road home during the afternoon Oct. 30.
Bicycle stolen at school: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported Oct. 30 that someone took her son's bicycle, valued at nearly $260, from where it was chained to a fence outside Roberts Elementary School.
Dirt bike stolen from garage: A Woodridge Circle man reported Nov. 3 that someone took a $300 dirt bike from his garage during a night. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry.
Cash taken from home: Two Americana Drive women reported someone entered their apartment through an unlocked window and took two safes containing a total of more than $3,000 in cash and several unidentified prescription medications during the afternoon or early evening Oct. 31.
Eggs thrown at home: A Victoria Street man reported someone struck his home with eggs at about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 3.
Making false alarms
Boy allegedly pulled fire alarm: A 16-year-old Cuyahoga Falls boy was charged with first-degree misdemeanor making false alarms after police said the boy allegedly pulled a fire alarm at Cuyahoga Falls High School causing a school evacuation during the late morning Oct. 26.
