Now that it is November, Christmas is not far behind. There are so many ways to say "happy holidays" with a local touch. The Friends of the Library will conduct the last special sale of the year Dec. 9, but shoppers don’t have to wait until then. The Friends of the Twinsburg Library Gift Shop is open every day and volunteers are featuring Christmas items.
The gift shop has a great selection of handmade jewelry at bargain prices. Mix and match necklaces and earrings, and there are many novelty pieces that are sure to please. A pair of dice earrings for those gambling friends or soccer balls for that niece who is a soccer mom are available. Doll clothes and greeting cards and infinity scarves are also available.
And the shelves are always filled with book bargains. The cook book collection keeps refilling and the pictures alone are worth the cost. Gardening books make great gifts for those who spend their winters planning for spring. Remember that classic you never got around to reading? Browse the aisle; every dime that’s spent goes to the library.
Don’t forget to inquire about a membership or volunteer opportunities.
