STOW -- Police are still investigating a robbery reported at the Fifth Third Bank at 911 Graham Road on July 8.
Police responded to a hold-up alarm at the bank at 12:30 p.m. and employees told them the bank had been robbed. Employees said the suspect, a black male wearing black pants, black shoes and a black sweatshirt with "Stark State" on the front, had threatened them and taken money from one of the tellers.
Police said that once the male entered the bank, he quickly approached the counter and jumped over it. No weapon was brandished when he demanded money, but he did threaten to shoot employees. Before he left, he forced them into an office and threatened again to shoot anyone if they did not give him opportunity to get away. No one was injured during the robbery. He obtained a small amount of cash, but police said they would not disclose how much.
Police said that before they arrived, the male fled on foot in the direction north of the building.
Anyone with information about the robbery should call Stow Police at 330-689-5700.
