Stow-Glen Retirement Village is hosting free, family friendly public concerts on the lawn event beginning July 13 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Performing will be Matthew Ball aka The Motor City Boogie Woogie Kid, an attorney turned musician who now has over 3.8 million YouTube views and counting.

Michigan's reigning Boogie n' Blues heavyweight, Ball left the practice of law in 2001 to pursue a life in music.

With recent appearances on Fox 2 NewsDetroit's 'The NineShow' and Channel 20 News Detroit's'Concert on the Qube',and back from a year-end Pacific Coast tour, Ball is called a "nationally emerging boogie-woogie master."

The evening will present a toe-tappin', family-friendly program of acrobatic piano favorites and songs like "In the Mood,""Ain't Misbehavin," "Glory of Love," "This Little Light of Mine," "Basin Street Blues," "The Entertainer," "Bumble Boogie" and many more.

Stow-Glen is located at 4285 Kent Road, Stow. The public is invited.
