On June 21, eight Hudson Police Officers participated in the Special Olympic Torch Run (four running and four on bicycles) that went through Hudson on Route 91 from the northern border from Twinsburg to the southern border in Stow. They ran with members of the Special Olympics.

This is the Law Enforcement Olympic Torch Run for the Special Olympics. Law enforcement started it back in the 80s to raise awareness for the Special Olympics. Runners carry the "Flame of Hope" through the streets. It's the largest grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics. Hudson officers have been participating in this annual event for many years.
