A 60-year-old Stow man died Tuesday morning in a one-car crash on Stow Road, city police said.

Stow Police Lt. Anne Stirm said the man -- whose name she would not release, pending notification of his family -- was northbound in a Chevrolet Cruze when, at 8:31 a.m., his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a large tree.

Stirm said the vehicle then flipped, and the driver did not survive.

Stow Road was closed for approximately an hour between Call and Norton roads while police investigated. It reopened to traffic at approximately 10 a.m.
