Fun, Fit & Float Natatorium Summer Camp

Spots are filling up so sign up today for the Fun, Fit and Float Camp at the Natatorium. Campers spend half the day on land and half the day in the water. Adult Creative Classes

Summer is here so why not be creative? Stop into the Quirk Cultural Center at 1201 Grant Ave. and see what is going on for adults. Adults need some creative time too so why not try your hand at card making, ceramics, pottery, a new craft Let's Chalk with Chalk Couture and even woodshop projects. Look at the displays or stop in to a class.

You can also book a small group to do an evening of crafting.

New Youth Art Camps

Have the kids take a break from TV and video games to create art based on their interests. Each week has a different theme with each day a different topic. First session is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday June 27 29. Theme is Nerdy Week with Minecraft, Comic books, and Space as daily topics.

Ages 6 8 will meet from 1 2 p.m.; ages 9 11 meet from 2:15 3:30 p.m. and ages 12 15 will meet from 3:45 5:15 p.m. There is a class fee which includes instruction and supplies. Class is held at the Quirk Cultural Center. Pre-registration necessary.

Cuyahoga Falls Strollers

The Strollers have kicked off their hiking season. They are a group of people age 50 and up who enjoy the outdoors and area parks. The remaining

schedule for May includes: Tuesday, June 27 Ira Road. Trailhead Beaver Marsh followed by lunch at First Watch, July 11 Hot Dog Roast and picnic at Water Works Park.

The Strollers meet at the Quirk Cultural Center on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. then carpool to the designated park for their hike. It's a great way to meet new people and get exercise as well.

New participants are welcome and encouraged.

Adult Ballet Classes new session

The Parks and Recreation Department is offering Adult Ballet lessons at the Quirk Cultural Center. Come join the fun, meet new people, and get some exercise. These classes are designed to promote good posture, self-confidence, and grace, while teaching students how to strengthen and protect their bodies from injury. The classes will consist of traditional ballet barre, stretching exercises and mild ballet center floor combinations. All classes are 4-week sessions with new Tuesday sessions beginning June 27 and running through July 25 (no class July 4) and Thursday sessions beginning June 29-July 20.

Tuesday classes are Intermediate, 9-10:15 a.m., Intermediate 6-7 p.m., and Beginner 7:15-8:15 p.m. Thursday class is Beginner /Intermediate from 9-10 a.m. All class fees must be paid at first class.

Community Band Concert

The Parks and Recreation Department's Cuyahoga Falls Community Band will be playing at Oak Park, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. A variety of music sure to please all listeners is planned. This event is free. Take a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy some great music in the beautiful park setting. In case of rain, all concerts will be moved to the Quirk Cultural Center in the theater.
