A couple of road projects may affect Aurora drivers if they're heading toward Mantua Township and / or Streetsboro this week.

Microsurfacing work will continue on Route between Route 82 and the Geauga County line and on Route 82 between the Aurora line and Route 44 in Mantua Township, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

In Streetsboro, Frost Road between Ellsworth Road and Phillipp Parkway and the intersection of Frost Road and Route 43 have lane restrictions for widening. The project also includes widening the Frost Road bridge over I-480. It is expected to be completed by late September.

In the Garrettsville and Freedom-Nelson townships are, Route 88 between Route 305 and the Geauga County line is undergoing chip sealing to be completed in late July, ODOT said. Route 422 eastbound also is closed through late June for culvert replacements.

Routes 88 and 303 in Garrettsville, Freedom and Nelson also are being resurfaced from the southern village limit to Route 82 and Route 305, along with Route 303 between Route 88 and the Windham village limits. Late July is the expected completion date.

In Kent, Route 261 east of Mogadore Road continues to have lane restrictions for minor bridge repairs through September.

In Brimfield and Suffield townships, Route 43 will have nightly lane restrictions for bridge deck sealing through the end of June. Route 43 between the Stark County line to just south of Tallmadge Road and between I-76 and Brimfield Drive also will have restrictions through August.
