The GriefCare Place offers support groups that give those grieving the loss of a loved one by death the understanding of the grief process and encourages them that healing will come. All grief support groups are at no cost.
All groups will meet at The GriefCare Place at 4499 Darrow Road in Stow in the same building as Attentive Home Health Services and Western Reserve Foot Clinic entrance in rear. Individual counseling is provided by a licensed professional therapist in affiliation with Moriah Counseling & Consulting. Clients are seen on Wednesday's at the GriefCare Place by appointment only. Call the GriefCare Place at 330-686-1750.
The GriefCare Place, serving grievers from 66 communities in Northeast Ohio, has been committed since 1997 to bring hope and healing to broken hearts caused by the death of a loved one.
UNTIL HEALING COMES -- This group is our foundational progressive program for any adult who has experienced the death of a loved one. This group will meet on June 20 at 7 p.m. Led by Lou-Ann Redmon
WIDOWED WOMEN'S GROUP -- This group is designed specifically for widows of all ages and stages of grief. This group will meet on June 21 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Led by Sue Freeman
OTHER ADULT LOSSES --- An ongoing monthly support group for adults grieving the death of a parent, sibling, close friend, partner, or relative other than a spouse or child. This group will meet on June 22 at 7 p.m. Led by Carrie Sensius.
20th Year Anniversary Celebration -- The GriefCare Place will be celebrating with a breakfast fundraiser at Applebee's on July 15 from 8 to 10 a.m. followed by an open house at The GriefCare Place. To purchase your breakfast tickets, call The GriefCare Place at 330-686-1750.
