A public meeting will take place on June 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., to update interested stakeholders and residents about the status of the Gorge Dam Removal Project. The meeting will take place at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth St.

The title of the program is, "Gorge Dam, What's Next, A Public Meeting" and will feature speakers who will discuss the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, its history, its benefits and its role in the Gorge Dam Removal. In addition, a Cultural Resource Specialist from Summit Metro Parks will present stories concerning the history of the Gorge. The public will get an update on the status of the dam removal and learn about summer events that feature issues related to the project. Presenters will be available during the social hour that follows the program.
