The 27th Annual Duck Race will be Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the back of Water Works Park and the Big Cuyahoga Shelter. This fun family community event is held to raise monies for the CFHS Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors this coming school year. Each year the PTA Council interviews senior applicants and awards scholarships helping with their college tuition. Proceeds from the sale of ducks for the race and food concessions all benefit graduating Tigers.
This year's race will again be held in the Cuyahoga River behind Water Works Aquatic Center. Many activities are planned along with games for kids with prizes for playing, face painting, music and much more to be announced. The CF PTA Council will be at the Big Cuyahoga Shelter withfood concessions for lunch. Winners of the Duck Race have chances to win first place and second place cash prizes, themed gift baskets, gift cards for local businesses and services and passes and tickets to area entertainment & attractions. Soon Ducks can be purchased for $5 each or $20 for a Quack Pack of five ducks at all school Open Houses and orientations and from PTA members.
