First concert of Keyser Park Food Truck Frenzy and Concert Series
Join the Cuyahoga Falls community for its first concert of the series: June 11 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Keyser Barn.
The event is free to attend; just pay for food at one or more of the many delicious food trucks. June 11 Food Trucks include: Wholly Frijoles Mexican Street Foods, Square Scullery, Zydeco Bistro, Stone Pelican, Beef and Barley, Metropolis Popcorn, and Rita's.
The June 11 line-up: opening act is Daniel Rylander and the main act is Juke Hounds.
Bring a chair or blanket to the first concert of the series.
New -- monthly card making
So many people want to make cards but do not have the time so why not try it one time a month? Every month you can create five different cards.
Supplies included. All you need to bring is your scissors and some adhesives. June class is scheduled for June 12 from 7-9 p.m.
Cards with the Masculine theme (Father's Day and male birthdays) are on display at the Quirk Cultural Center where the class takes place. Pre - registration is required with a fee. A class fee is payable to instructor at time of registration (includes all supplies).
Workingwith essential oils class
The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department is offering an Essential Oils classes at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave. All classes are on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m.
You will be introduced to all the healthy benefits of using 100 percent pure essential oils.
The class will discuss the proper ways of using the oils and why to use them.
July 13: Become Essentially Well: Join the class for a make and take workshop using certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils. Learn how to use them safely and choose to make roller balls that will benefit your body.
Aug. 10: Essential Moods: Bring about change in your moods as you use all natural essential oils.
Youth tennis lessons
The Parks and Recreation Department will offer progressive tennis instruction for ages 7-17 beginning the week of June 12. Three skill levels are offered.
Participants need their own racquet.

All registration will take place at the Parks and Recreation Office, the Quirk Cultural Center or online at www.cityofcf.com/parksandrec.
Registration deadline is one day prior to each start date, no sign ups at the courts.
All fees include T-shirt and entry into the Youth Tournament following the lessons.
All lessons now take place at the courts at Falls High. All lessons are June 12-28 (Mon. and Wed.) or June 13-29 (Tues. and Thurs.).
Beginner Level (elementary and middle school aged participants)
For players with little or no experience playing tennis.
Basic strokes such as forehand, backhand, serving and net play will be covered.
Basic technique will be stressed.
This class meets for one hour twice a week (8:45-9:45 a.m.) for three weeks.
Junior Varsity Level (middle school and high school aged participants)
For players who have taken lessons before.
Drills in this level are geared to improve the player's consistency, learn court strategy, and perfect the proper form of all the strokes.
This class meets one and a half hours twice a week (10 11:30 a.m.), for three weeks.
Varsity Level (high school aged participants)
For players who have played high school tennis. This level is for serious players who want to improve all aspects of their game.
Topspin, backspin, court strategy, ball placement, and the mental aspects of the game are covered.
This class meets one and a half hours twice a week (11:30 a.m. 1 p.m.), for three weeks.
Junior tennis lessons
The Parks and Recreation Department will offer a modified tennis program for boys and girls ages 5-8 on Fridays, beginning June 16 at the courts at Falls High.
Choose from a 10 - 10:45 a.m. or 10:45 - 11:30 a.m. class time. Participants will need a racquet and will receive a T-shirt.
Pre-registration is required, no sign ups at the court.
Adult tennis lessons
The Parks and Recreation Department will offer adult tennis lessons beginning Wednesday, June 14 at the tennis courts at Falls High.
Beginner classes meet from 6:15 -7:30 p.m. and Intermediate classes meet from 7:30 - 8:45 p.m. Beginner classes will teach participants forehand, backhand, serve, net play, overhead, scorekeeping, doubles and singles play. Intermediates will focus on topspin, slice, singles and doubles strategy, drills and play.
Players should bring a new can of balls to the first lesson. Registration is being taken at the Parks and Recreation Office, Quirk Cultural Center or online at www.cityofcf.comparksandrec.
