1 -- Enjoy music and food

In Cuyahoga Falls, the 2017 Riverfront Irish Festival will take place June 9-11 at Falls River Square, with special musical guests Dulahan and Mary's Lane and many musicians from Northeast Ohio performing. Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. June 9, noon to 11 p.m. June 10 and noon to 7 p.m. June 11. The family friendly festival features three stages of music, an Irish marketplace with traditional Irish and American fare, Irish Mass on Sunday and traditional Irish dance. Admission and parking are fee.

2 -- View classic cars

One of Ohio's biggest classic car shows is coming up June 9-10 -- the Fabulous 50s Fling -- in the old-fashioned Swiss village of Sugarcreek (Tuscarawas County). Attendees can walk around downtown and the community park behind the fire station to view hundreds of beautiful vehicles, enjoy food and refreshments and listen to oldtime rock and roll music. The show has existed since 1991. The weekend kicks off with the Friday night cruise-In. Best of show wins $500.

3 -- SupportMenno-nite missions

Aurora Mennonite Church will conduct its 35th annual missions auction June 10 beginning at 10 a.m. There are dozens of handcrafted and donated items available for the community to bid on, including some quilts and wall hangings.

4 -- Enjoy musicoutside

The second in the city's summer music concert series will take place June 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. when Post Road performs at the Veterans Memorial Park gazebo. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket to enjoy the music on the grassy hillside.

5 -- Find outwhat city's doing

Aurora City Council's next meeting is June 12 at 7 p.m. If you want to find out some of the projects the city is working on or how your taxpayer's dollars are being spent, stop down at Town Hall. Citizden comments are always welcome, and residents can bring concerns to the legislators and administration officials.
