Akron SCORE, the free mentoring program for new and existing businesses, will present 11 free workshops in June at two Akron locations and a Medina location. The workshops offer practical guidance to help new businesses get started and existing businesses improve their operations and profitability.

Workshops are conducted by professional counselors certified by SCORE, the nonprofit Small Business Administration-affiliated organization. The workshops will be conducted at the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing at The University of Akron, Goodwill Industries and the Medina County University Center.

June 20 Fundamentals of Financial Management,

June 21 Intellectual Property Issues Businesses Need to Know
