1 WHO SHOULD WIN 'FRIEND OF THE COMMUNITY' AWARD?:

The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from the communities of Stow and Munroe Falls for the 2017 "Friend of the Community Award."

This award will be presented on June 28 at the Pride Breakfast event held at Acker-Moore Memorial Post, 3733 Fishcreek Road, Stow. This event is open to the public.

The criteria for the award are as follows: Nominee must work or live in the Stow-Munroe Falls community. This individual should show a long-standing commitment to the community, be an "unsung hero." Chamber membership is not a requirement for this award. The deadline for nominations is June 5. SMFCC Board of Directors will make the final selection from the slate of nominees. Reservations to attend the Pride Breakfast are due no later than June 23.

2 GO FOR A SWIM, ENJOY SOME MUSIC:

Music by the Lake will be June 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Munroe Falls Metro Park/Lake Area, 521 S. River Road, Munroe Falls.

Enjoy an evening of free lake swimming from 3 to 7 p.m. and live music at 6:30 by the Metro Parks Ensemble. Concert cancelled if it rains. If wet weather is in the forecast, call 330-865-8060 after 4 p.m. for status.

3 ENJOY A MEAL AND HELP THE LIBRARY:

Support the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library Foundation as you enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Bob Evans on June 5. Bob Evans, located at 3489 Hudson Drive in Stow, will be hosting a community fundraiser to benefit the Library Foundation.

From 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., Bob Evans will donate 15 percent of sales from your meals to the Library Foundation through their Dine to Make a Difference Community Fundraiser program. Participants must present a special flier to the cashier at checkout. Fliers are available at the library. The Library Foundation is grateful for your donation.
