The library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is closed Sundays.
Plan for Your Stuff
We all have stuff, and some of us have lots of stuff. At some point, we (or our families) will have to deal with our stuff. This can be a big and emotionally challenging job. Andrew Richmond discusses why you need to plan for your stuff, helpful planning tips, when & how to get an appraisal, ways of selling your personal property, and how to prepare yourself mentally. Join your fellow craft enthusiasts for daylong fun. Bring your own supplies. All crafts welcome. Lots of table space to spread out. Refreshments served. Come for an hour or the entire day. Saturday, June 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
3rd-4th Grade Book Club
We will discuss the book, "Life According to Dani," by Rose Lagercrante (AR 3.4 Pts 1) on Monday, June 5, at 4 p.m. over drinks and a snack.
Wellness Yoga: Yoga Off the Mat
Learn soothing stretches that you can incorporate into your daily life in this gentle yoga series with Diane Bielecki, who graduated from the Cleveland Clinic School of Yoga. No mat is needed stretches are done standing or in a chair. Please dress in comfortable clothing and arrive 5-10 minutes early so that class may begin on time. This class is limited to twenty participants, and registration is strongly suggested. Wednesdays, June 7 and 21, July 5 and 19, 6:30 p.m.
For students in grade 5 and up.
Thursdays at 2 p.m. between June 8 and July 27.

Coffee & Conversation Book Discussion
Join us for some great conversation with your fellow Nordonia Hills readers! Our afternoon book discussion group meets the second Thursday of each month. Our next discussion is Thursday, June 8 at 2 p.m. We will discuss Rules of Civility, by Amor Towles.
James Rome teaches how to roast your own coffee beans at home, featuring a demonstration and samples. It is simple to learn, saves money, and makes better coffee. Registration is suggested. Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m.
Monday Casual Reads
Join us the second Monday of each month for reader-to- reader book discussions, fun, and sharing with fellow light reading lovers. We will discuss the Reader's Choice of a book for our 11 th anniversary on June 12 at 2 p.m.
Join us for messy fun! Don't forget to wear some old clothes, you may get messy. On June 12 at 6 p.m. we will try painting with fly swatters.
Teens Do Something
This is a new way for kids going into fifth through 12th grades to volunteer. We will meet twice a month on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. to do a different type of project. Some of the things we're going to be doing are make survival bracelets for the military, cards for shut-ins and cookies for firefighters. June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25, Aug. 8, Aug. 22
Grab your crocheting/knitting needles and yarn and stitch the evening away. Join us the second Tuesday of each month for crocheting/knitting tips, friendship, advice and more. Refreshments will be served June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Introduction to Novel Writing
In this six-part writing workshop, each session will provide an in-depth look at a different part of writing, including how to create realistic characters, dialogue and plot, and the tools necessary for bringing out the best of the writer's work. This unique program is designed to provide encouragement and guidance to both beginning and seasoned writers. Registration is requested. Tuesdays, June 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, and 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Students going into kindergarten through fourth grades are invited to join Miss Sue for a story and a craft. Bring your lunch and your listening ears. Dessert and beverages will be provided. Please register. Wednesdays, June 14 to July 12, 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Cookies and Conversation
The second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m., meet to talk about what's going on your life, school, town or the world. We'll discuss philosophy, current events or whatever is on the group's mind. And remember we have cookies. Wednesday, June 14 at 3:30 p.m.
Interested in candid, thought-provoking conversation? Join your fellow patrons at the Socrates Caf, an informal adult discussion that takes place each month here at the library. The Cafe opens on Wednesday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. Ages 16 & over, please.
Dr. U R Awesome is the current Guinness World Record Holder in both indoor and outdoor bubbles. He is also a skilled bubbleologist. Saturday, June 17 at 2:30 p.m.
An interactive group for discussing all things cooking, comparing recipes, and trying new eats. The club meets the third Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is June 20 at 7 p.m.
Writers' Guild of Nordonia Hills
Writers wanted! New writers and old hands welcome: fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between. Have your work critiqued and give feedback to others in a fun and friendly environment. Please bring a sample of your work to share. Light snacks provided. Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 21.
Nordonia Hills Game Time
The library hosts a regular gaming "meet-up" each month for patrons who enjoy board games, cards, chess, role-playing, war games, and collectible card games. The next meet-up will be June 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join fellow local players Sharpen your intellect - Enjoy the social aspects of games. Refreshments are served. No registration is necessary.
