Spree For All, the two-month Summit Metro Parks hiking series on flat and easy trails, began May 1 and continues through June 30.

The annual series, which began in 2004, includes 13 different trail options that are accessible to visitors with wheelchairs, walkers, canes and strollers, and to people on foot.

Since its inception, 33,713 participants have completed at least five hikes to earn Spree For All rewards: a neck lanyard and commemorative pin for each first-time hiker, and a commemorative pin for every veteran hiker. This year's pin features a color wheel comprised of six sugar maple leaves inside the shapes of trail markers. The sugar maple leaf is from the Summit Metro Parks logo.

2016 saw 2,450 people complete five or more spree hikes and receive rewards. Of those, 761 were new to the spree.

To participate in the event, download a hiking form at spreeforall.summitmetroparks.org or pick one up at any Acme Fresh Market store in Summit County. Then earn rewards free to Summit County residents by completing five hikes, which could be on the same spree trail or a combination of different spree trails. Out-of-county residents pay to receive their rewards ($10 for first-year hikers, $5 for veteran hikers).
