The following actions were taken by Aurora City Council at its April 24 meeting:


Final plat for Home-stead Phase 3 Block A on the south side of East Homestead Drive and east of Eggleston Road.

Revised development plan for Homestead Phase 3, Block A on the north side of East Homestead Drive and east of Eggleston Road.

Contract with Chagrin Pet, Garden & Power Equipment Supply ($6,438) for a mower.

Contract with Southeastern Equipment Co. for purchase of a mid-size min i-excavator ($72,960 less $10,500 trade-in for a backhoe).

Revised final plat for Hawkin Subdivision on the north side of East Mennonite Road across from Harris Drive.

Contract with Brown Enterprise Solutions ($15,486) for the purchase of 20 Dell desktop computers and monitors as part of the city's computer replacement plan.

Contract with Signal Service for 2017 traffic signal maintenance and 24-hour emergency service.

Contract with Perrin Asphalt for 2017 concrete highways repair.

Conditional zoning certificate for Aurora Animal Care Center Inc. for a veterinary clinic and boarding kennel on West Maple Lane.

Contract with Concrete Guys of Ohio Inc. ($11,575) to replace the pavilion floor at Sunny Lake Park.

Lease agreement for 44 months with Mirifex/Ace Business Solutions ($595.52 per month) for three copying machines for Town Hall and the engineering department.

Change in compensation for police offer John Catena.


Tabled for fifth time. Agreement with Hawthorn of Aurora and the Constan Development Co. for dedication to the city for public use of a portion of Aurora Lake Road.


Contract with Landsong Engineering for professional engineering services for inspection of in-house and outside projects.

Renew the current policy with HCC/U.S. Specialty Insurance Co. ($128,552) through Edward Sutton Insurance Agency for city property and casualty insurance for June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018.
