The below work has been postponed until next weekend, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Interstate 77 in the City of Akron
(Friday, April 28 – Monday, May 1)
Beginning Friday evening, April 28 at 7 p.m., and continuing through Monday morning, May 1 at 6 a.m. the following lane restriction and ramp closures will occur while concrete pavement repairs are made:
I-77 northbound between I-76/Kenmore Leg to just north of SR 261/V. Odom Blvd. will be reduced to one lane
The ramp from I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg will be CLOSED. The detour will be I-76 westbound to SR 21 northbound to I-77.
The ramp from I-76 eastbound/Kenmore Leg to I-77 northbound will be CLOSED. The detour will be I-76 eastbound to I-77 southbound to I-277 westbound to I-76 westbound to SR 21 northbound.
This work is the beginning of a $2.2 million project to make concrete pavement repairs on I-77 between I-76/Kenmore Leg and SR 261/V. Odom Blvd. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by August 2017.
