The movie "Hidden Figures" will be shown on April 23 at 1 p.m. in the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third St. The film tells the story of a team of African-American women mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. Rated PG. Free.

2 SEE THE LATEST FASHION TRENDS:

Fashion in the Falls, a runway fashion show, will take place on April 28 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at The Pavilion at Falls River Square, 2085 Front St. The event will feature spring trends from local retailers Urban Lace, All About the Piece, and Tarnish Ltd. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased prior to the event in the Urban Lace and All About the Piece store locations. 3 CLEVELAND KIDNAPPING VICTIM AT FALLS HIGH:

A Night with Lily Rose Lee, aka Michelle Knight, will take place April 28 at Cuyahoga Falls High School auditorium, 2300 Fourth St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Lee is scheduled to begin speaking at 7.

The program is being hosted by the Six District Compact's Criminal Justice program.

Knight was 21 years old when she was kidnapped on Aug. 23, 2002, in Cleveland, according to Lee's Facebook page. "She was held prisoner by Ariel Castro, suffering abuse at his hands for more than 10 years," the page stated. "After another captive, Amanda Berry, escaped, Knight and a third victim, Gina DeJesus, were rescued in May 2013."

Half of all event proceeds will go directly to the Battered Woman's Shelter of Akron, according to an event notice.
