The Stow Junior Firefighter Obstacle Course event, a fundraiser sponsored by the Stow Safety Forces Relay For Life Team, will take place May 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station 3, 4238 Fishcreek Road in Stow.

Children ages 10 and under will go through an obstacle course with a Stow Firefighter (yes, one-on-one). They'll learn while having a lot of fun.

The $10 donation per child includes the Junior Firefighter Obstacle Course and lunch.

The city of Stow will transfer all donations for this event to the American Cancer Society. Space limited to first 300 participants, first come, first served.

Deadline to pre-register is April 28.

Pre-register for start time and avoid the long line the day of the event.

Register online at (and pay by credit card) or download forms and mail to or drop off at Stow City Hall, 3760 Darrow Road, Stow 44224.

Make checks payable to the City of Stow. Registrations will be taken day of event if space is available.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. No child may be dropped off and left unaccompanied. Lunch is included; if your child has allergies or specific needs, plan accordingly as there is no variety or choice for the lunch being provided.

If adults wish to eat lunch with their child/children, they are welcome to do so for a $5 donation for your meal at the event.

Children should dress in weather appropriate play clothes and must wear closed toe tennis shoes to actively participate.

This event will be rain or shine. Each child will be required to have a waiver signed by their parent, legal guardian or responsible adult in order to participate.

If pre-registering more than one child, a waiver must be signed for each child.
