This year's Tallmadge Community Expo, which took place April 8 at the Tallmadge Recreation Center, brought in around 2,000 visitors, according to Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Terry Bumpas. The biennial event featured musical productions put on by Tallmadge City Schools students, activities for children, a slew of mascots, a blood drive, giveaways, drawings and an auto showcase, while at the high school Park Ford sponsored another Drive 4UR School event and Weaver-SecurShred collected documents to destroy. The Taste of Tallmadge, which features local restaurants providing food samples of their signature menu items, generated over $800 which will be donated to Tallmadge Relay For Life. Chamber members and city and school officials will take a well-deserved rest before beginning to plan the 2019 event.
