The City of Macedoniat is hosting a rain barrel workshop April 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Participants can purchase a complete rain barrel system including a 55 gallon barrel, a downspout diverter and spigot. The barrel is white but can be painted. Tinkers Creek Watershed Partners will have staff onsite to instruct participants on how to assemble their rain barrel at the workshop.Service Director John Hnottavange said the rain barrels are a good idea for homes, as residents can use them for gardening and keep the water from discharging into the ground and reuse it instead. He also said residents who have a rain barrel can apply for a credit for their Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District bill. For further questions or to register contact Babette Gowda, Tinker's Creek Watershed Coordinator at 216-789-6479 or email email@example.com .
