Farmers' Market inthe Falls is looking for more vendors

The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department is once again hosting the Farmers' Market in the Falls at the Quirk Cultural Center this summer. The 2017 season runs on Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m., from June 23 through Sept. 29. We are committed to making an investment in the market and seeing it grow to its full potential. Our mission is to encourage, support and promote the efforts of local farmers, producers and artisans seeking to sell high quality, locally grown, fresh products directly to our local community members. 61st annual EasterEgg Hunt atWater Works Park

Join friends and neighbors at WaterWorks Park on April 15 at 2 p.m. sharp for Cuyahoga Falls' annual Easter Egg Hunt. This free event sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department will include an egg and candy hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny and a contest for the Best Decorated Eggs. Please note: The hunt for Easter candy and eggs will begin promptly at 2 p.m. Participants should arrive before 2 p.m. to get a spot for the hunt. There will be separate hunt areas for children ages 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. Look for signs to locate the appropriate hunt area for your child. Judging for the Best Decorated Egg Contest will begin at 1:30 p.m., with divisions for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and family. Pre-decorated eggs should be brought in a container with the participant's name and division clearly marked. Attendees should bring their Easter basket and camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny. Adult Ceramics

Try a new hobby and take a ceramic class. Class is on Tuesdays from 7 9:30 p.m. at the Quirk Cultural Center. New and experienced participants will benefit from individual attention to perfecting their skill. There are many outdoor items as plant pots, mushrooms, gnomes and gift projects to choose from. Class runs from April 18 May 23. There is a registration fee which includes use of tools, stains and glazes and instruction. Greenware and firing are an additional cost depending on size of item.

Adult Pottery

Adults need some creative time too so plan now to try your hand at pottery if you are in the creative mood. All students will benefit from individual attention to perfecting their skill. Classes will begin on Mondays, April 17, from 12:30 3 p.m. or Tuesdays from 7 9:30 p.m. for a six-week session. Those who have never taken a clay class can begin with Pottery Technique which is only a three-week class on Tuesday nights beginning on April 18. There is a fee for the class with firing and glazes included. Clay additional fee. Preregistration is required for all classes.
