Mayor Don Walters invites the community to enjoy the 2017 City of Cuyahoga Falls Earth Week display at City Hall, 2310 Second St., from April 17 through April 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Mayor's Court hall located on the first floor.

Special features of the 2017 City of Cuyahoga Falls Earth Week display will include creative poster artwork designed by local 2nd-grade students, information on local environmental programs and initiatives, and the silent auction of two rain barrels designed to help harvest rainwater for gardens and plantings. The rain barrels will be colorfully painted to showcase the artistic design skills of Cuyahoga Falls High School art students.

Bidding on the rain barrels will be a minimum of $2 increments above the previous bid (as written on the bid sheet) for each rain barrel. The opening bid on each rain barrel is $65. All proceeds from the rain barrel silent auction will support local Summit Soil & Water Conservation District educational programming. Silent auction bidding on the rain barrels will close at 5 p.m. on April 21. Winners of the rain barrel silent auction will be notified April 24.
